Course Pathway
Universal Path (all personnel): Course 1: AI Fluency Fundamentals → Course 5: Supervisor Orientation (for leadership)
Builder Path: Course 1: AI Fluency Fundamentals → Course 2: Builder Orientation → Course 3: Platform Training (or Course 3.5 if Power Platform access is restricted on your tenant) → Course 4: Advanced Workshop (or Course 4.5 for the static-stack and two-tool track) → Course 6: Full-Stack AI-Assisted Development (bonus)
Start with Course 1. If you want to build tools, continue through the Builder Path. If you supervise builders, take Course 5 after Course 1. Course 3.5 is a parallel of Course 3 for tenants that block the Power Platform stack. Course 4.5 is the matching parallel of Course 4 and adds Ask Sage as a peer enterprise tool alongside genai.mil.
Required
The universal prerequisite. Teaches the six applied judgment skills that
separate sustained AI adopters from the 80% who quit. No tool-building.
No coding. Just the management skills that research shows predict AI adoption.
Elective
For people who want to go beyond daily AI use and build tools. Hands-on
building from start to finish. Live builds, debugging, and problem
decomposition.
Elective
Build three complete tools on Power Platform practicing both centaur and
cyborg work patterns. This is where students become capable of producing
deployable tools.
Reality Track
Same three builds, same centaur and cyborg framing as Course 3. Different
execution layer. When the tenant is locked and Power Platform is not on
the table, Marines ship deployable static-HTML tools to free public
hosting and document the wall as a Capability Gap Map for HQMC.
Elective
Move from individual to organizational capability. Frontier mapping,
complex builds, verification protocols, group debugging, and teaching
methodology.
Reality Track
Same six modules as Course 4. Different execution layer and a two-tool
world. Marines build a static-HTML Readiness Dashboard with hand-rolled
SVG bars, run debugging clinics against static-stack scenarios, and learn
when to escalate from genai.mil chat to Ask Sage with reasoning models.
Tool selection itself becomes a 201 skill.
Recommended
The highest-leverage session in the program. Learn to create permission
culture, evaluate AI-assisted output, and preserve junior development.
Choose a 30-min standalone briefing
or a 60–90 min joint session with builders.
Bonus
The capstone. Build and deploy a complete web application from zero using AI
as your development partner — Go backend, React frontend, AI chat with tool use,
role-based auth, Docker, and Azure deployment. 8 hours, 10 modules.
